Last Minute Gift Ideas

We have all found ourselves in the position of having to find a last minute gift, be it for Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, Christmas, birthdays, in fact any manner of occasion finds the best of us searching the shelves in Asda for a last minute solution!

Have you considered this option? Sponsoring an animal is a classy and inexpensive way to accommodate the occasions when you really need a lovely gift idea, which is a little bit different and shows you care.

Our Open Days

Every first Sunday of the summer months (May – Oct) from 1-5pm we here at Remus have an Open Day. Admission costs £3 for adults and £2 for children.

It is an opportunity for you to come along, see what we do and meet the animals! After all they are the reason we exist. There is always a lot to do at our Open Days – we pride ourselves on making it a day for all of the family with attractions, events and stalls.

JUNE NEWS AT THE SANCTUARY .

Here at Remus, we are turning over a new leaf in terms of our social media and website updates and this blog is just one of the ways in which we will begin to do just that.

May 5th Open Day please make a note of the date and come to see us.

The May Open day is the first of our 30th Anniversary year season, lots to see and do, lots of changes for you to look at.  We have some new rescued Animals for you to see. Guiness the Shire is going to be a firm favourite we are sure.

At the Open Day you can become a member of the Sanctuary, sponsor an animal, listen to our talk, eat, drink, there are  plenty of stalls for you to browse over, have fun while you support us and so the animals in our care. We appreciate your support,we could not do it without the support of yourselves, the generous British public.

RIP SHAYNE

It is with great sadness that we have to announce that Shayne was put to sleep recently.

Shayne, believed to be the oldest horse in the world died after reaching the age of 51, he had spent his final years at the Sanctuary enjoying himself, spending time out in the fields every day with his friends.

Flying High for Remus

Remus volunteer Brenda Dennison, who is terrified of heights, has taken a deep breath and put her fears to one side to help raise funds for Remus in what has been a dire year for us financially.

Brenda, aged 68, is doing a microlight flight later this month to raise funds for Remus; she openly admits that she is totally terrified.

We think Brenda is incredibly brave; please sponsor her heroic effort and make her bravery even more worthwhile.
