9th November Remus Blog

SANCTUARY NEWS

Its been a hard few months at Remus and since the last Open Day we have lost Phoebe pig who lost the use of her back legs. Bugs horse who had such an issue with her bone that was crumbling that it had managed to fracture in two places, Peggy pony, who despite her tenotomy operation continued to founder with her laminitis and Tommy cat who was in intensive care in an oxygen cage until they were able to diagnose a lung tumour. Lady pony has been diagnosed as arthritic throughout her neck and little Jimmy pony, her friend, has been diagnosed with arthritic hips. Mum-cat left her lovely warm bed on the wettest and coldest day of the year and did not shelter - we found her the following morning hypothermic, soaked through and collapsed. Amazingly after just 24 hours in intensive care she was able to come home.

CHRISTMAS

The website should be fully updated by next week - so please do check out the new range of Christmas cards , gifts and 2012 Remus calendar.

FINANCES

With the economic situation as it is, with the huge vets bills incurred recently and winter upon us we are finding it very difficult to make ends meet. If there is any way that you can help by maybe making a donation, buying your christmas cards from us etc  - it would be so much appreciated.
