Halloween Cake. Learn how to decorate your own cake for those special holiday times. At the end of this workshop you will be able to ice a cake with fondant icing and learn some basic modelling techniques, e.g. pumpkins, bats and ghosts.
The picture shows two cakes that our expert Sue has made in the past. You can follow this or feel free to design your own if you prefer.
£45 per person, includes sugarpaste, modelling paste and cake board. Please note we cannot guarantee that these products are free from nuts.
You will need to bring with you:
- 8-inch cake of your choice. A madeira sponge is preferable
- Buttercream to coat the cake prior to applying fondant
- A workboard/silicone mat
- Rolling pin
- Any tools/cutters you might have
- A box to take the cake home
If you think you will need lunch, please bring a packed lunch with you! Although we will be supplying unlimited hot drinks and biscuits, no amount will be a substitute for a real lunch – so do bring one if you think you may get peckish.
All proceeds from this workshop go directly to the Sanctuary to help continue to care for our animals.
Please book online wherever possible. If you are unable to do so, call the office to book 01277 356191.
