Recycling
Recycling raises a lot of money for the Sanctuary, the things other people have finished with are an important source of income for us. We can take many of these items directly at the Sanctuary but have also paired up with a variety of specialist organisations whereby you can post items to them or have items collected from your home.
Some of the items we can recycle include:
- Used postage stamps
- Foreign or obsolete coins
- Mobile phones, cameras or gaming equipment
- Broken jewellery
- Printer ink cartridges
- Clothes and accessories

Please think of us when you are clearing out. In addition, you can bring any of these items when you visit us for an Open Day or Afternoon Tea, or telephone to arrange an appointment on 01277 356191.
Please do not drop any jumble or bric-a-brac etc at 2 Mellish Way.
Unwanted Tack
We can also use unwanted tack including rugs, lead ropes, etc. If there is anything that we cant use then we can sell it to raise funds for the animals.
Please post us your items for recycling to: Remus Memorial Horse Sanctuary, Little Farm, Buttsbury, Near Ingatestone, Essex, CM4 9NZ. Or alternatively, drop them in while you’re passing, we’d love to show you around the Sanctuary!
