Join us for our last Open Day of the season on Sunday 5 October from 1pm until 4pm and celebrate World Animal Day with us!

World Animal Day has become a global celebration for all animals and the people who love and respect them. It’s known on every continent and celebrated in different ways in many countries, with no regard to nationality, religion or political ideology. Here at Remus Horse Sanctuary we are proud to celebrate and support this global movement to raise the status of animals everywhere at our October Open Day.

Meet our wonderful animals – including lots of horses, ponies and donkeys, and many goats, sheep and cats. Plus, we’ll have many stalls selling gifts, books and bric-a-brac. Children can enjoy face-painting, a bouncy castle, up close magic and more.

Enjoy a Cream Tea at our Open Day, with two plain scones, butter, jam and clotted cream, and your choice of tea and coffee. £16 per person including entry. Online booking is preferred to minimise administration in our office but, if you cannot book online, you can do so by telephoning Claire on 01277 356191 or email her at office@remussanctuary.org. Please book your Cream Tea a minimum of 48 hours in advance.

Entry is just £8 for adults and £6 for children, or £16 to include the Cream Tea, per person.

Please note that the ground can be uneven, subject to the weather. We do provide a wheelchair accessible toilet and, if required, disabled parking is available near to the yard. Dogs are welcome on a lead.

If the weather is very wet the days prior to the event, then do double check with us that we will be able to open!

Terms and Conditions of Advance Ticket Purchase

1. Please bring a printed copy of your ticket receipt with you on the day, for all those that apply. We will retain the document.
2. We will also accept an online ticket as proof of purchase, on a smartphone or any other mobile device.
3. Refunds will not be offered under any circumstances unless we cancel the event due to inclement weather, in which case you will be able to use your ticket for the next date.
